I wasn’t planning to visit Frankfurt at first, because it sounded like just another boring big city, where busy Frankfurt Airport located. However, I had a few hours before boarding my flight, so I have decided to pay it a quick visit.
Frankfurt (Main) Hbf station was just less than 20min from Frankfurt Airport by train. It was a old historical station just like Wiesbaden, but it was much more busy. I was extremely nervous because it was full of all kinds of people and it was already early evening.
We walked through Frankfurt (Main) Platz der Republik. It was full of high-rising business buildings, just like Hong Kong. Of course, it is a financial center just like Hong Kong. There was even a EURO sign on the square.
We also walked pass Kaiserstraße, Eiserner Steg and many other famous spots, finally came to Römerberg, a popular square surrounded by many traditional buildings and shops. It was a great spot to take photos, but we did not have much time there. It was nearly 30min walk from Frankfurt (Main) Hbf station, so we headed back after just a few photos, but Frankfurt was surely a lively city.
