Münster is another small but interesting historical town in Germany. It is not really touristic, but I enjoyed this small town much better than better-known bigger cities.
We stayed at Hotel ibis Muenster City, just near Münster (Westf) Central Station. It was a very convenient location that we could go slight-seeing just by walking. We mostly just ate kababs as dinner, as nowadays there were kebab restaurants and takeout everywhere in Europe.
There was local market around Stolperstein für Max Leffmann in the weekend mornings, selling flowers, local produces, garments… It was really interesting to visit.
Another of my favorite place to visit was Stadtmuseum Münster. The local museum required entrance fee of EUR 10, but the 3-floor museum had very rich content, showing the long history of this town all the way from its ancient Christian times to the modern times.
We also took train and tram to Essen Zollverein, in order to visit UNESCO-Welterbe Zollverein. Zollverein is an extensive industrial site of abolished coal mine. It was an important landmark of the golden time of Germany industrial revolution. All these old structures still look impressive, and the exhibition at B3 of the museum was particularly interesting, very rich and detailed contents from past to present.
