Jogging @ Yamato Park Izuminomori (Nov. 2022)
Recently, I found a large, quiet, peaceful and natural park at remote area of Yamato city of Yokohama, Kanagawa. It is called “Izumi-no-mori“(meaning, the woods of fountain).
It is about 2.5km one round, with natural ponds, rivers, woods, trails, watermill, as well as a few traditional farmhouses, shop, toilets and campsite. It is a perfect place to enjoy the Autumn leaves, or have a relaxing run or walk inside the nature.
The reflection of Autumn leaves on the water looks amazing on a sunny day. Also, there are plenty of ducks and fishes swimming happily in the lake, that you would wish that you were one of them.
Although this park is inside the city, the river water is very clean and clear. Also, the trees and plants are preserved and maintained perfectly, that it almost looks like a natural garden.
